ملبـورن:

المظاهرة التي اندلعت في ملبورن بدعوة من الاحزاب والقوى القومية والوطنية، والجمعيات الفلسطينية كانت حاشدة، وقد انطلقت من امام مكتبة الولاية الى الساحة الرئيسية وسط المدينة، وتركزت الشعارات والهتافات على ادانة المجزرة والمطالبة بالتدخل لوقفها وادانة "اسرائيل" كمجرم حرب ودولة ارهاب.

تحدث ممثلون عن:

- جمعية الصداقة الاسترالية الفلسطينية

- اتحاد طلبة فلسطين

- اليسار الاسترالي

- رئيس جمعية الجالية الفلسطينية

- مؤسسة لجنة العدالة لفلسطين

- الشيخ عيسى موسى

- كلمة القوى والاحزاب والجالية العربية القاها الامين الدكتور ادمون ملحم

هذا وسيصار الى تنظيم مظاهرة اخرى الاحد القادم الساعة الثانية بعد الظهر في المكان نفسه وستشهد حضورا حاشدا من ابناء الجالية، والاستراليين المؤيدين .

كلمة الامين ادمون ملحم:

ألقيت هذه الكلمة باسم الجالية "العربية" او الناطقة باللغة العربية الأسترالية في ملبورن وفيها تحدث الامين ادمون ملحم عن المجزرة الرهيبة التي ترتكب بحق شعبنا في غزة والحصار المفروض عليها بغاية تركيع شعبنا. وقال إن الشعب القبلي الذي هاجم أرض كنعان في تاريخنا القديم مرتكباً المجازر في مدن فلسطين وقراها وكان من بينها مجزرة أريحا، هذا الشعب الذي رفض السيد المسيح وتعاليمه المناقبية وساهم في صلبه لأنه جاء بعبادة جديدة تقوم على المحبة وصفاء القلب والأخوة البشرية، هذا الشعب ذاته عاد في تاريخنا الحديث إلى أرض كنعان ليقتلع شعبها وليؤسس دولة "إسرائيل الكبرى".

وعدد أهم المجازر التي ارتكبت بحق شعبنا في فلسطين ولبنان والحروب التي شنتها "إسرائيل" وناشد المجتمع الدولي والحكومة الأسترلية والمنظمات الدولية للتدخل فوراً من أجل وقف الإعتداءات الغاشمة على غزة وفك الحصار عنها.

We are here today to strongly condemn the Israeli aggression on the Palestinians and to say no to the war on Gaza.

History repeats itself.

The same tribal people who invaded the land of Canaan, in ancient history, and who committed massacres against the indigenous people of Palestine and their cities, the most famous of which was the massacre and destruction of the city of Jericho, the same people who rejected Jesus and his moral teachings and helped crucifying him for introducing a new worship, founded on love, purity of heart and on the brotherhood of humanity, this same people have come back to the land of Canaan to uproot its people and to establish Greater Israel.

Since 1948, the Israelis never stopped killing Palestinians, destroying their towns and villages and forcing thousands of them to flee their homeland.

They committed many massacres in Deir Yassin, in Kfar Kassem, in Mount Carmel, in Al-Lud, in Jenin, in the Galilee, in Jerusalem, in Qana and they waged so many wars against our people in West Bank and Gaza, in Jordan, in Syria and of course in Lebanon. They also planned and organized the current on-going war and destruction of Iraq.

What is happening in Gaza now is a crime against humanity. We are witnessing the most dreadful and brutal massacre in Gaza under an international and Arab conspiracy of silence. Israeli planes have been firing missiles on a very densely populated city, destroying government and civilian facilities, including workshops, medical warehouses, mosques, and hospitals, and killing people under siege randomly; people, including children, teenagers and women, running in all directions and unable to defend themselves, even people hiding in fear in their individual houses with their families.

The situation in Gaza is absolutely disastrous. People are desperate, suffering and dying because of shortages of necessary medical equipment, food, fuel and other daily needs. Hospitals cannot absorb the high number of casualties; many wounded people are turned away from hospitals. Medical supplies are just not available because of Israel's blockade of border crossings for more than a year in order to strangle the life of the Palestinians.

We strongly condemn this series of war crimes being committed by Israel in Gaza and against all Palestinians.

We urge the international community, our Australian Government and international organizations to intervene to stop this "inhuman" bombardment immediately and to end such grave unprecedented deterioration in the human rights situation and the illegal siege and collective punishment of the Palestinian people.

WE also urge the international community and international organizations to provide urgent humanitarian and medical assistance to Gaza, which has been under a tightened siege impacting all aspects of lives, especially health conditions, as hospitals are unable to treat such high number of casualties.

The war and aggression must stop immediately.
